EU in panic after Boris set for historic India trade deal.
With the UK set to gain a massive trade deal with India with in the next 12 months, the EU is now trying to pick up the pieces and salvage an agreement with India.
The EU are desperate for a deal with New Delhi due to the rise of China. With the EU wanting to fast track trade deal negotiations, the document to commence the talks will be signed by EU ambassadors on Wednesday and delivered to the Indian Government.
If the Indian Government accepts the signed documents, the two sides are expected to say: “We agreed to resume negotiations for a balanced, ambitious, comprehensive and mutually beneficial trade agreement which would respond to the current challenges,”
With Boris meeting Indian officials over video conference, all looks good for Britain regarding trade with India.
Boris said: “The agreements we have made today mark the beginning of a new era in the UK-India relationship.
“The UK and India share many fundamental values… there is a living bridge uniting the people of our countries.”
