The London Mayor claimed the agreement signed on Christmas Eve was effectively a no deal Brexit for the lucrative sector which is largely based in the capital. He said Mr Johnson’s deal was more beneficial to European companies exporting goods to the UK than the “world-leading service sector” which is worth £132bn-a-year to the UK economy and employs more than one million people.
Sadiq Khan has been against Brexit from the start. It seems his time was focus too much on overturning the referendum result instead of fighting for the best deal for London.
As Mayor of London, his focus should have been fighting for London’s betterment with the circumstances presented. Instead, Sadiq now blames Brexit for his neglect of focus, if he’d have done his job correctly, the Brexit deal for London may have been better.
The question is, did Sadiq Khan focus to much time trying to smash democracy instead of fighting for London’s deal post Brexit?
